Brief Overview: Maybelline Dream Touch Blush
An advanced air-soft formula that offers a radiant and enduring color touch over the cheeks. Glides on smoothly and blends easily for seamless color and a natural, radiant finish. Air-whipped mousse delivers satin-soft feel on skin. Long-wearing formula will not clog pores. It comes in a glass pot with the color of the cap indicating the shade of the blush. Maybelline Dream Touch Blush Shade comes in three different variants. I am currently reviewing just two of them. Coming to the shades, I purchased Shade 04 Pink and Shade 05 Mauve together.
About Shade 04 Pink:
This is more of a peach color and is suited for medium skin tone. I have a fair skin tone and it just gives a nice neutral shine for me with a lifted appearance to my cheek bones.
About Shade 05 Mauve:
This is more of a subtle pink color which is best suited for fair skin tones. It is a very beautiful shade which gives a natural flushed appearance.
Both shades comprise of some glitter particles making it more suited for evening wear. The consistency is like an extremely thick cream. For all those who feel that its stability may be similar to a hair mousse, it is actually more like a solidified mousse. I love the consistency which is similar to velvet. It beautifully blends with the skin leaving no patches. Hence it avoids caking of the product. It does not run and once set stays for over 3 hours. It comes with a great quantity which will last for at least for 6 months with everyday usage. What I don’t like about the product is that it gets a little inconvenient when you have to dip your finger in to the pot and the product gets into your nails. That makes it unhygienic to use. Excluding that, this is a wonderful blush from Maybelline with lovely shades.
Pros of Maybelline Dream Touch Blush Shade:
- Beautiful shades (I wish there were more).
- Travel friendly and great quantity.
- Gives nice glow around the cheeks
- The consistency is extremely thick and hence no caking of the product.
- Does not clog pores.
- Does not cause patchiness.
Cons of Maybelline Dream Touch Blush Shade:
- Staying power is poor.
- The pot packaging is totally unhygienic.
Final Verdict:
I really love this product but I just wish it stayed longer. The only reason I didn’t buy the third shade was because I am not a fan of bold looks. I would definitely recommend this product to all the blush lovers out there.
